THE FEDERATION OF UNEMPLOYMENT FUNDS IN FINLAND
(TYJ)
Welcome to the website of the Federation
of Unemployment Funds in Finland (TYJ)!
In Finland there are 30 unemployment funds
for wage earners and two for entrepreneurs, all of which belong to the
Federation of Unemployment Funds in Finland (TYJ). TYJ provides information on
general matters concerning earnings-related unemployment benefits and promotes the work of the funds.
TYJ makes proposals and issues statements for the development of
unemployment security and cooperates with similar organisations in other Nordic countries.
This website contains basic information concerning
unemployment security. For more detailed information, please contact your own unemployment
fund.
The benefits paid by the unemployment funds are the
earnings-related allowance paid to the unemployed and the
job alternation compensation granted to those on job alternation leave.
In order to insure information security, forms should not
be sent by e-mail. However, in most unemployment funds it is possible to apply
for benefits online.
Check the contact details of your unemployment fund and
find a link to the fund's wesite here.
All applications and documents should be sent to your
own unemployment fund.
If you have any questions about your
benefits, please consult your unemployment fund. Your unemployment fund
will also advise you in matters concerning membership and the reception
and payment of benefits.
