Expertise in earnings-related security and drive for cooperation
If you become unemployed
Remember to register as an unemployed job seeker with the Employment and Economic Development Office (TE Office) no later than on the first day of your unemployment.
You can send your first claim to your unemployment fund after two to three weeks of unemployment.
Do not send claim forms or pay certificates to the Federation of Unemployment Funds (TYJ).
Please send all claims and certificates to your unemployment fund
If you have any questions about your benefits, please consult your unemployment fund. Your unemployment fund will also advise you in matters concerning membership and the reception and payment of unemployment benefits.
The Federation of Unemployment Funds in Finland (TYJ) is the training and cooperation body for the Finnish unemployment funds. We promote the interests of our member funds, work to develop unemployment security, and seek to strengthen the operation and knowhow of the funds. All 30 Finnish unemployment funds are members of TYJ.
Our operation is steered by a board of directors with fund representation. Our services are delivered by our six employees and a number of working groups formed by fund representatives.
