Earnings-related allowance
The earnings-related allowance is paid to fund members during unemployment or temporary lay-off.
Unemployment funds pay an earnings-related allowance to their members for periods of unemployment and temporary lay-off. The amount of the earnings-related allowance is based on salary.
Qualifying for earnings-related allowance requires 12 months of employment and membership of an unemployment fund during that time. The earnings-related allowance is paid under the same conditions across all unemployment funds, and the benefit is calculated in the same way.
